Levels

Beginners / intermediate
This level is for everybody who knows the basics of Balboa (basic steps, break turn, throw out, come around). You aren't quite comfortable on the dance floor yet but you are eager to improve your basics to get a sound Balboa feel and want to learn some new steps. Maybe you followed a workshop or did a course or two. For intermediate dancers this is your chance to improve and get a better understanding of connectivity and movement in Balboa.

Intermediate / advanced
You have taken lessons for at least a year or have attended some (international) workshops. You have a repertoire of basic steps (break turns, break timing, cross overs, lolly kicks, throw outs, etc.) and you feel comfortable on the dance floor with any partner; however, you want to broaden your repertoire and improve your balboa technique. At the end of this weekend you will have a wider variety of steps and your movements will have more flow. 

Absolute beginners
If there is enough interest (minimum of 5 couples), an absolute beginner's class will be added to both Saturday and Sunday. So what are you waiting for? Sign up!

Venues and parties

All classes and Saturday and Sunday parties will be held at Brasa Dance Studios, Willem Fenengastraat 12, Amsterdam. Parking is available in front of the venue. Parking is free during the weekend. The party on Friday will be at Kompaszaal, KNSM-Laan 311, Amsterdam.

One level (4 hours of classes + parties) - €75
Both levels (8 hours of classes + parties) - €120
Absolute beginners (if more than 5 couples) - €30
Lunch per day - €5
Saterday party only - €10

Registration

You can register here by following this link: shuffle_amsterdam.dancecamps.org. We would love you to registrate as a couple. This way we can guarantee a well balanced number of follows and leads. Single follow registrations might be waitlisted
